Our 14 mile, 90 minute narrated tour venturing onto the open waters of Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay. View Presque Isle’s shores, Erie’s skyline, lighthouses, ships, beaches, Gull Point Nature Preserve, wildlife and numerous other sights.

Our Private Charters are designed to suit your needs and may be booked for any day or time during our season. For groups of 25 or more, we will take $1.00 off each ticket.

Ship & Safety Information

The Lady Kate is a very stable, diesel powered, 65-foot Great Lakes Vessel certified by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry up to 64 passengers.

She boasts state-of-the-art electronic navigational and communication devices and is equipped with the latest lifesaving equipment. Our Captains are all U.S. Coast Guard licensed.


Do I need to check in before boarding?


Please check-in at our ticket booth located on Presque Isle State Park near Perry Monument prior to boarding.

If you purchase your ticket online you must still pick up your boarding ticket from the booth. Tickets may also be purchased at the booth.

We recommend checking-in 30 minutes prior to your cruise time. We will begin boarding approximately 15 minutes before scheduled cruise time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Reservations on regularly scheduled cruises may be canceled, altered or rescheduled with a 48 hours advanced notice of cruise date. No refunds will be given, or reservations rescheduled for requests made less than 48 hours advance notice of cruise date.

Is there food and drink available on board?


There is no beverage service on board, however Soft Drinks, Bottled Water, and Snacks are available for purchase at our Ticket Booth.

Are there restrooms on board?


There is one unisex restroom on board.

What should I bring with me?

We operate rain or shine, hot or cold. Please plan to dress according to the weather.

Here is what we recommend for varying weather conditions:

Nice/Hot Weather:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat

Cold/Rainy Weather:

  • Coat and/or Hoodie
  • Raincoat or Poncho
Will I get wet?

Most likely not. However, there is always a risk of getting a little wet when you’re on the open sea.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We operate rain or shine!

However, in case of certain weather conditions, it is at the Captain’s discretion if the narrated tour stays within Presque Isle Bay.

In the rare event that we have to cancel a cruise or return to dock early, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your cruise subject to availability.

Will I get sea sick?

Most likely not as the Lady Kate generally cruises around 6 knots (approximately 5 mph). If you have a tendency towards motion or sea sickness, please take preventative measures beforehand.

Should I tip the crew?

Gratuities are accepted and greatly appreciated but not mandatory.
